Vases . . . .

Email us your experience with Glassworks and we just might post it. Thanks go to all our wonderful customers!!

Thursday Oct. 19 2006 - My daughter and I were thrilled to be allowed to watch you and your apprentice this past August as you made her a teardrop oil lamp to her color specifications of green and brown and as you made my multicolored candle holder. We love the pieces! They are beautiful!
We love all the pieces we purchased at your store, from the delicate lavender snowflake ornament to the beautifully contoured pitcher
Thank you so much for making it possible for customers to comfortably watch you as you skillfully work your art. It was a great experience, particularly because we were able to watch you work on something specifically for us.

We will be back!

Friday, February 03, 2006 I just left you a voice message. I received the bowls today and I really like them. Thanks for taking care of me.  Your service is really great! Will you please include some literature that shows your other work? I will show this to some of the wives (where I work). Many of them are moving to town and looking to decorate their new homes.
Take Care,

Hi from Wisconsin,
Thanks for keeping me on the list! I purchased a custom Christmas tree for my mom in 2004 and she absolutely loved it. It's nice to hear from Colorado, even if I won't get there again anytime soon!
Thanks for the emails,

Your work is absolutely gorgeous. I purchased one of your paperweights last year when your work was on display and for sale here in Claremore, OK at a restaurant called The Pink House. My husband's sister, Kay  recently moved here and wanted to send a gift to my brother and his wife in California and I referred her to you because they also have a glass collection. She had me order a paperweight for them for helping her with the move. I know they will be happy with it.
Thank you,
Jan

When my wife and I got married in ’97 we came to your store a few times and watched you work, amazing! We continued to come to Estes Park about every three months or so, it is beautiful there. We always took the time to stop and see your work. We asked if you could make a blue fish for us while we sat there and watched. You more than graciously agreed and we came back the next day to pick it up, after it cooled. We still have it and love it very much.
Thank you,
Robert & Kathy
P.S. can’t wait to come back to get another one of your creations!

This is fantastic. I've been visiting your studio for over 10 years with my parents on Estes Park summer vacations. I actually remember your old shop over on 66 with the big deck overlooking the river. (At least I think it was 66.) My mom is going to be so pleased with her Christmas gift!
It's amazing to be able to order some of your wonderful pieces online! One of these days I'm going to save up for one of your beautiful platters! I was in last fall for the sale, and it's exciting to be able to get the same good deal over the internet. I'm hoping to be back in February with my husband.
Thanks for the memories and the art,

I always appreciate the welcoming from the Glassworks staff when I bring up photography students from Loveland. It always generates talk, and that I want to believe translates into return visits with their families and parents. Above all, it's artists supporting artists. Your work is dynamic and beautiful. My students are fascinated with the process as well as the result. I have an oil lamp from Glassworks here in my Iowa home which keeps burning on these now cold nights. You are always appreciated and remembered in this way.
thanks,

Garth and Staff:
I received your shipment today that contained the special Snake that I ordered for my grandson and it's "buddy". I love both of them and I know that Trevor will treasure them. He and his sister love to sit and watch you create beautiful things from glass.
I am an avid collector of glass paperweights and I treasure each of the ones that you have created.
I will see you the next time we are in Esters Park. I might even find another bag of M&M peanuts.
Thanks so much for your special attention to my request.

I just wanted to let you know my colleagues loved the paperweights.  My boss commented "this is the nicest memento we have ever gotten at one of these meetings."
Many thanks for your help.

I just wanted to thank Garth.  I just came home from visiting Colorado with my aunt Jane Robertson.  My mom and I both love our recycled glass squares, and we hope to be able to visit again next year.  Thank you for the two suns, I'm still looking for a good place to keep them.  I'm looking forward to mom being able to see the shop.  Thanks again.

Garth, Just wanted to say thanks for custom making the disk with R-95 fret and black backing with the reduction metallic edge. The rice bowl looks stunning on the display disk and sitting on our glass top coffee table in the living room.
Also I was wondering if you were thinking about adding a section on your website for the beautiful barware/stemware we saw in the studio? I may send you a piece of hand painted stemware that goes with some tableware we have and get a quote for it all in glass.
Again thank you for taking the time to make the disk to display the rice bowl on.

Garth,
Thank you so much for being an important part of a really wonderful "getaway" weekend for Nick and I. Estes is a special place for both of
us, and you've made it even more wonderful! I have the vases that you gave to us setting in the center of our kitchen counter for now, trying
to find the "right" place for them, but leaving them central and immediate until then. I see them first thing in the morning, and last at
night, and sincerely appreciate and enjoy them, with some fresh blooms every day from our garden. Thanks!!
This weekend is probably slow for you, unless the weather has kept some of the folks in town instead of up in the hills. I'm one of the few
(must be the farmer in me!) that am enjoying this weather; it'll be hot enough soon enough, and I don't handle the heat as well as I used to.
Have to figure a way to set up a mist machine or something for those hot days when I'm splicing cable and it gets to be too much.
    Anyway, thanks again.
            Mike

I wanted to tell you how pleased I am with the small purple bowl which I bought through the Rocky Mountain PBS auction.  It was a present for my sister's birthday last Thursday - we love your store, have given your works as gifts, and she owns a few pieces of yours, including two bigger bowls, an oil lamp, and a paperweight.  I bid on this one immediately when it was shown on the televised auction.  I also volunteer at the auction, and I know how important it is for them to receive beautiful donations like yours.  So you've made EVERYBODY happy!  Thanks a lot.
Joan.

Garth and Marty,

My mother Jane Crawford and I visited your studio February 2nd.  She had seen Garth years ago and loved to watch his work.  Marty was at the studio on February 2nd and we watched him for over an hour create red peppers.  It was so much fun to watch and visit with Marty.
I wanted to let you know that my mother passed away last week.  She was diagnosed with melanoma August 2004 and after several surgeries, it spread to the rest of her body.  It was her wish to see Estes Park one more time with visiting your studio on the top of her list.
I want to thank you both for giving her wonderful precious memories and giving me the memory of the time Jane and I spent watching Marty.  I will cherish it for the rest of my life. I will be visiting Estes Park soon and will stop by to say hello.
Sincerely, Tiffany
Thanks!  Have a Great day and a Better tomorrow!

Last April I was in your studio and you handed me an article on the EnergyXchange program in
North Carolina. I have started discussions with the Salem Community College about locating a facility at on our landfill property that would take advantage of our landfill gas for use in glass blowing, molding etc.  Paul Stankard of Mantua, NJ who is well known in the glass art flame work area is helping with the project. We just started the initial meetings, but do see some type of facility becoming a reality within two or three years. Thought you might like to know that the seed you planted is starting to sprout. Thanks for the info, I let you know as things progress.

You may remember that we spoke last April about using landfill gas to power a glassblowing studio.  You gave me an article from glassart magazine.
Just wanted to know that I have been in discussions with the Salem Community College to locate a glass education facility on property owned by the landfill. The project is in the concept stages but it may work like this. With the help of well know Flamework artist Paul Stankard, we are planning an extension of the flame working program at the college.  We will locate a remote campus of the college approximately 12 miles from the main campus. We are in the beginning stages of talking to an energy company that will harvest our landfill gas to make electricity.  Part of their process it to take the landfill gas and clean it up.  As part of our concept planning they will provide an off stream of gas at a predetermined volume to power the glass education center. While the project is a little complicated I believe it will work. So thanks to you, the guy who planted the idea, this great idea may work out. If you wish I will keep you advised.

Thanks for planting the seed.

Hello,

Just wanted to say that my Christmas tree arrived safely last week - it is absolutely beautiful!  What a great gift this is going to be - I really appreciate the prompt service and the stunning job done on the tree itself.  I am really glad I walked into your shop on a whim in September and will certainly keep you in mind for future gifts.

Best regards,
Rachel
